Heavy and harmonious electric riffs, melodic vocal harmonies, and progressive grooves create the massive sound that is Vie Jester. Generating comparisons to monster rock groups such as Tool and Alice In Chains, this L.A. based band brings forth a unique and ambitious take on three piece rock music. Inspired by socially important issues and esoteric teachings, they vie to incorporate important messages within their lyrics. Vie Jester: a modern power trio that flexes the artistic side of hard rock.
In 2007, Baptiste Brun (guitar) and Antoine Brun (drums) decided to form a progressive metal band. They successfully recruited some musician friends of theirs, including Najib Maftah (lead singer), Mathieu Banchet (bass guitar) and Sebastien Cenci (keyboard).
The newly founded quintet quickly elaborated their style and repertoire in order to promote their music. Before recording an album, Sebastien Cenci left the band and was replaced by Alexis Armion.
In 2010, the band started working on their first album in a studio setting. With the album finished, Stolen Memories realised its first
opus, with the help of Olivier Didillon (producing) and Alex Borel (mastering) : « The Strange Order » was born.
After making efforts to promote the album, Pervade Productions signed Stolen Memories on October 10th of 2010. « The Strange
Order » received favorable reviews and critical acclaims. Shortly after, Alexis Armion left the band and Basptiste Brun took back the
keyboard parts of the next album.
Determined to maintain the momentum, Stolen Memories started working on its second album, in order to further fine-tune its sound
and identity. By the end of 2011, the keyboard parts were recorded in a studio with the collaboration of Thomas Nemer. In the begining
of 2012, the quartet recorded « Blind Consequence » in Warm Audio Studio, with the support of Alex Borel and Chris Arnaud, and
with mastering by Mathieu Monnot in Eyemat Studio.
In March, 2013, Stolen Memories second album « BLIND CONSEQUENCE » is available on Brennus Music.
ETHEREAL RIFFIAN was formed in summer of 2010. After spending several years and experimenting with different musical styles, they have found sonic vibrations that sound in unison with ER’s collective consciousness. “Shaman’s Visions”, the debut work of ER, was released in 2011 and the result of the long search.
Exactly one year later, the next release “Dkyil Khor (Sand Mandala)” was added to the band’s discography. The twenty-minute meditational single was written for one of the expositions of the Arsenale-Biennale 2012 exhibition, which was devoted to the transience of time and the search of self.
The second full-length album called “Aeonian” is the band’s most mature work, which unites all the best talents of its members. The eponimous book merged as a result of their intention to fully disclose the ideas and concepts of the album. While working on the narrative, ER realized that from now on books would become an integral part of the band’s creative work, for they let reinforce the images created by the music and inculcate them in the consciousness of the listeners.
The band’s activity has two main objectives: to compose unconventional music, which is able to expand the frames of the listener’s musical perception, and to shed light on the existence of a subtler plane, whose laws if understood properly may help to perceive the reality on a deeper level. In order to achieve the abovementioned goals, ER diligently work on each new release. That is exactly why the ones who get acquainted with the creative work of ER need to be very attentive.
“We sincerely hope that the message carefully integrated in our music is able to induce our listeners, and now our readers as well, to open up the new facets of existence and kindle the light of their true self, which will not dim even in the darkest nooks of Sheol.”

“It is hard to list 5R6 under some particular genre. In their own words: “some say that we are playing a mixture of stoner and progressive rock, others that it is prog mixed with grunge with a pinch of alternative rock and metal seasoning for a better taste. As for us, we couldn’t care less. We’re just trying to bring all that we love about music in what we do.” And along with heavy riffs in 7/4 and 15/8 you will find catchy melodies and tender arrangements.
Their first EP “Knots & Spirals” was released in October 2010. Musically it was highly influenced by the Seattle scene of 90’s and progressive bands such as Tool, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Mastodon etc.
In august 2012 the band released their second EP “+6.5 And Brighter”, which is more proggy and even somewhat psychedelic, it has incorporated more classic rock, 90’s post-hardcore and stoner rock influences, rather than metal. The band’s intention was to create a unique sound and solid compositions remaining within heavy rock to give food for a listener imagination making his/her limbs and head moving to the rhythm while his/her mind taking a transcendental trip to the inner and outer space.
In September 2012 5R6 went to their first European tour with Stoned Jesus, a stoner-psychedelic rock band from Kiev. Currently, 5R6 is preparing to record first full-length album.”
